This is a giltwood console “d’applique” that is richly carved. The apron is carved and has openwork at its center. The console has a floral medallion that has foliage curling and unfolding out of both sides of the medallion on a checkered background.

It rests on two legs that are in the shape of a large spiral and also has carved shells, foliage, and flowers going along the front. The legs are connected by an arched spacer and decorated with a large stylized leaf that is right in the middle.

This console is topped off with a rance de Belgique marble.
