Very vigorously carved in the round and in the smallest detail, this ivory sculpture dates from the late seventeenth century, early eighteenth. The work of a French photographer, this great Christ, is represented juxtaposed feet and head bent to the left.
On a sober blackened metal base (total height: 41cm)
Beautiful state of conservation, to note a restoration with the right hand.
