This rare music automaton represents a "Turkish" magician standing behind his conjuring table.
He comes alive to the sound of music, performs head and hand movements while discovering under his goblets different objects (four passages). His face and his hands are terracotta and very fine. His elegant clothes are original.

Historical Annecdote : Jean Farkas was born in 1917 in Brest. He learned the art of porcelain restoration and antique objects for antique dealers in Paris. Passionate about antique toys and automatons, he himself created many automatons. It is his wife, Anne Farkas, a seamstress, who makes the sumptuous costumes of her pieces.
