Couple of acrobats and their child protecting themselves from the storm. Oil on canvas, circa 1870, on its canvas and its original frame. The saltimbanque is a street artist, doing all sorts of tricks and performances to amuse the public, from city to city (we see in the composition the stilts, hoops, a drum ... A version of this theme, but during a snowstorm, had been sold in Poland in 2009 (50x61); another 36x52 in the United Kingdom in 1998. Pupil of Drolling, Felix Paul GUERIE exhibits at the Salon from 1868 to 1870. Museums: Amiens, Rennes.
