A large Hispano-Moresque lusterware pottery bowl decorated with a large winged bird holding a branch in its beak - the symbol of peace offering - surrounded by foliage and scrollwork. Manises (Spain). 16th century. Dimensions: diameter 39cm ; height 10cm A large fragment was broken and neatly glued, otherwise in very good condition. References: a nearly identical bowl is exhibited in the Matsuoka Museum of Art in Tokyo
