Wooden articulated mannequin. Italy 2nd half 18th century

A rare carved and partially polychrome painted wooden articulated mannequin depicting a young man. His head is inclining to the right, his mouth slightly opened showing his teeth and tongue and his eyes are made of glass. His hands and feet are carved with an eye for anatomical detail, the index finger of his right hand is stretched. The mannequin was intended to be placed in different positions, both standing and seated. Italy. 2nd half of the 18th century. Dimensions: length 68cm ; shoulder width 17cm Sold as seen on the pictures.
