Dietz Edzard (1893-1963) is a German painter who studied at the Fine Arts in Berlin from 1911 alongside Max Beckmann.
In 1929, he exhibited in Paris at the Jeu de Paume museum, and after a brief return to Berlin he settled permanently in Paris.
The Durand-Ruel gallery will exhibit his works several times.
During the Second World War, he was interned in the French internment and deportation camp Les Milles.
