Gilded bronze Statue representing the duke Louis 1er d'Orléans in armour on his horse holding a spear.
According to the model created in 1873 the sculpture of the Château de Pierrefonds (1869) signed E FREMIET (Emmanuel Frémiet Paris: 1824/1910) cast of Barbedienne, produced around 1910, base in green marble sea, bronze counter-base, together in perfect condition ( Remarkable original golden Patina)
Model similar to that presented in the Dictionary of Sculptors, nineteenth-century bronzes by P. Kjellberg.
