As pupil of Nicolas Louis CABAT, Émile LONCLE took part in the Salon de Paris between 1844 and 1870. He traveled extensively through France and Belgium and was a drawing teacher at the Lycée de Troyes.
His landscapes, which go to the essential, are in the line of those of COROT.
