Small messenger box, 1st half of the 16th century

Small model of iron cabinet called messenger, France, 1st half of the 16th century.
Small chest of wrought iron messenger with wire mesh decoration. It consists of a soul of oak wood covered with iron plates patterned openwork mesh.
The lock of this double hasp box can also be called auberonnière. The decoration of the palatre is a stylization of the tree of life. Hidden lock entry.
