A fine Chinese blue and white export porcelain miniature baluster vase with knopped neck and an hexagonal body which is decorated with six moulded and alternated panels of flowers issuing from flower pots on pedestal stands and rocky river landscapes. The underside of the base is marked with an Artemisia leaf.
From the Hon Cau cargo (aka Vung Tau), sunk in 1690.
Kangxi Period (1662-1722).
Provenance: ex collection Dr. Zelnik ; excavated in 1990-1991 at 15km from the coast of Hon Cau Island (Ba Ria-Vung Tau province , Vietnam)
