Painter of typical scenes, figures, portraits, landscapes.
A pupil of Fernand Cormon and Jules Adler, Jules René Hervé moved to Paris and began exhibiting at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1910. Jules René Hervé received a silver medal in 1914 and a gold medal in 1925.
Then Jules René Hervé shares his life between Paris and his hometown which he paints, with a light brush, expert in small bright shards on gray or ochres skillfully distributed, humble and picturesque events, portraits of his austere society to the monotonous and muffled existence - But Jules René Hervé knows just as well restore the lively atmosphere of the Parisian life and its monuments or dancers in the foyer of the Opera -
Of his compositions finely observed emanate delicate feelings - Appreciated by French and foreign amateurs, Jules René Hervé has devoted himself to his art throughout his life -
Jules René Hervé is considered "the last of the Impressionists"
