HELMET IN POINTE D'GÉNÉRAL FOLLOWING THE KING, model 1871/1899, Second Reich. Bomb in blackened and varnished leather, square-angle visor. All metal fittings in silver metal. Stamped state plate, silver in perfect condition, depicting a crowned eagle with wide wings, holding in its claws the symbols of power, the scepter and the sword, banner spread over the span of the eagle with the motto " MIT GOTT FÜR KOENIG UND VATERLAND "(With God for the King and Fatherland), on the star chest of the Order of the Black Eagle with Prussian motto of the Order," SUUM CUIQUE ". Latin phrase meaning "To each his own". The idiomatic meaning being "everyone gets what he deserves". Presence of two cockades of the type peculiar to the officers as rule after 1897, metal stamped with the colors of the state of Prussia black-white-black and the national colors black-white-red. Brown leather chinos covered with scalloped scales alternating between two and three silvered brass scallops. Upper shell of each chinstrap covered with a movable rosette of silvered copper, independent of the chinstrap. Bomb capped with a detachable fluted tip, throat of the tip, beaded, pierced with two orifices for aeration of the hairstyle, on pedestal shaped patted cross, held by four nails in the shape of stars with eight branches in metal golden. Absence of leather on the back of the visor; lapel of the red rectified leather nape. Sweatband in light brown supple leather with scalloped upper edge, several tears harvested. Silk of the two shutters inside the ecru silk hairstyle in bad condition with gaps. Manufacturer's label, glued.
