Pair of carved oak , gold leaf gilded panels, Flanders or north of France, late 16th century.
Blackened wood frames later period.
One represents the ascension of Christ (elevation?) with the Virgin and the Apostles. The other is the elevation of the Virgin with the 12 Apostles.
Gilt is worn, some lacks in sculpture, but good general condition given the period.
