Dolman model 1857, entirely in dark green cloth, closing right at the front by means of 18 pewter bell buttons stamped with the imperial eagle. The front is trimmed with 18 white wool braids with five buttons each. The back is decorated in the top of a Hungarian knot with white piping. The seams and false pockets are trimmed with white piping piping on each side. Collet in sheet of the white laced uniform. Sides in madder drape edged with a white woolen strip forming tip. Two scarlet-grade stripes forming a point at the bottom of the sleeves. Unbleached canvas inner lining with regimental ink stamps: a crown followed by the inscription "Ch de la G" (guard horse on horseback), registration number "G 1645" and stamp of receipt of the 4th quarter 1860 Inner waist belt in ocher leather. Very good condition, some small moth holes (insignificant) and some wear on the outer edges of the collar, wear and tear on the bottom of the dolman. La France. Second Empire
