Appraised by René Millet.An animated landscape, harbour scene and architectural scene painter, Abraham storck is mentioned in the guilde of Saint Luc register from 1679.
Although he never went to Italy, Abraham Storck painted many views of this country, especially harbours. He was probably inspired by engraving and drawing of monuments there which he painted with his own arrangement. Storck was the precursor of Architectural capricci, which style became very popular in the XVIIIth century.
