Léon Marie Dansaer (1830-1909) - The Reading lesson

The Reading lesson, oil on panel, signed Leon Marie DANSAERT. Leon Marie Constant DANSAERT, genre painter born in Brussels in 1830- died in 1909. A student of Ed. Brother in Paris. He soon took French citizenship and worked in France under the name Dansart. He also lived and worked in Germany and Italy. He had a predilection for genre pictures, but he also also painted portraits and figures. Some of his Works can be admired in Brussels Museum (The Diplomats).
