An important cameo carved out of amber with a milky white patina, depicting Bruttia Crispina (164 – 191 AD), Roman Empress from 178 to 191 as the consort of Roman Emperor Commodus. She is depicting facing right, her hair tied together in the typical bun. Similar portraits can be found on her coinage.
