This female saint depicted holding in her right hand a palm of martyrdom, wearing a low crown on her unveiled wavy hair, a mantle over her shoulders showing her dress and her belt at the waist.
She has a round face with almond-shaped eyes slightly elongated.
This rare carving could be a part of an altar-piece featuring all saints.
This work could be compared with group of carvings from Schnutgen Museum, originally from Cologne Cathedral altarpiece as well as from St Peter and Mary Church. There are some common characteristics : white marble, close size (37 cm, except St Catherine : 54 cm), the treatment of drapery, similar face features and hair carving.
