Writing table inlaid with floral motifs, arabesques and trees of life, bone and mother-of-pearl. Presence on the five sides of the seal of Solomon (or Star of David), hexagram symbolically representing the macrocosm, common decorative motif in the Middle East, as well as in Europe, from the 3rd millennium BC. JC (universal symbol found in places as different as Morocco, the Canary Islands, Mexico, Tibet, or Brazil.) On the drawer, inlaid: "Give us the wealth, the tranquility, and the peace "Syria or Egypt” 18th century.
