Rare helmet-shaped Ewer (Hanap) in faience resting on a piedouche with embossed gadroons, the weir decorated with a mask of bearded man in relief, the high handle finished in lacrosse, with decoration in blue and red of lambrequins, motives of ironwork, foliage scrolls and flowers on a red checkered background, gadroons simulated on the upper edge, the handle decorated with foliage and stripes with a blue background.

FRANCE, Rouen. Early eighteenth century.

Conservation: Small shine on the heel and égrenures on the collar.

Exhibition: Exhibited at the Retrospective Exhibition of the French Faience, Museum of Decorative Arts, Paris 1932, No. 385.
