Neo-classical chandelier - Berlin XVIIIe siècle - Werner & Mieth

Rare neo-classical chandelier in chiselled and gilded bronze, rock crystal and crystal twelve light arms, the upper part presents a set of stylized pagoda, the core consists of six runs in gilded bronze connected by many horizontal chains almonds slightly curved, the low end of each run is covered by a sheet and chased gilt bronze springs where both arms of light ended in a winding. These sheets are connected by curved croissants down repercés and engraved, decorated with almonds and mirza faded, forming the main crown. Six small raids clinging behind each and every leaf connected together, in their low end, with a small crown topped with almonds and Mirza, are the lower part.

Balance, elegance, lightness, nobility and quality make us think that the luster of a Chinese light lounge as might be found in the mansions of Northern Europe (Schloss Charlottenburg, Berlin, reproduced page 227 of the book Art of Furniture, by HD Molesworth published Edita).

Manufacturer & Werner Mieth.
