Roman gold ring with a Solus Invictus. Late 3rd - 4th century A.D.

A late Roman solid gold ring engraved with the radiate image of Solus Invictus or the "Unconquered Sun" who was the official sun god of the later Roman Empire and a patron of soldiers. In 274 A.D. the Roman emperor Aurelian made it an official cult alongside the traditional Roman cults.
