Gilt brass full plate with conical pillars secured by polished steel screws, 11 jewels, fusee with chain and Harrison’s maintaining power, Earnshaw’s spring detent escapement, two-arm cut bimetallic compensation balance with cylindrical weights and two mean time adjusting nuts, free-sprung blued steel helical balance spring with terminal curves, diamond endstone.

Datation: according to Leroy archives, The n° 235 is recorded to have been sold to the French State in 1863. Based on the fact that Leroy was producing around a hundred a year, our n°307 has then presumably be produced in 1864/1865.
Revision : It bears a sticker dated may 1982 by Paul Rudolf reknown as appointed « Horloger de la Marine » (dead in 1995).
