Large and beautiful Virgin and Child, in relief, executed in painted and gilt stucco, resting on a base framed by two winged angels surrounding a garland of flowers.
The stucco technique, made of gypsum, dates back to antiquity, and was a great success in the workshops of Italian sculptures in the Renaissance.
