Two-sided cabinet with the stamp "Hache Fils A.Grenoble" and a label.
It opens by two latticed doors in the upper part and two full doors in the lower part.
The lower body rests on four arched feet with "pads". It has rounded uprights highlighted with blackened pear fillets. The lower cross-member has at its center a tinted sycamore cartridge. The doors are decorated with beautiful geometric reserves in tinted maple and magnifying glass.
The top body also has a geometric reserve decoration on the door jambs.
They retained their original brass fencing (which was entirely hand-made at the time) fixed with small wrought iron nails. This charming library has a cornice with a "policeman's hat" embellished with black.
Typical of the work of, Jean-François Hache gives us here an exceptional work. Elegance of proportions
Refinement of a decor while sobriety playing on the species of wood
The presence of its stamp and its label certify that this is indeed the work of the Master Cabinetmaker of Grenoble.
