A beautiful "poupée" from a reliquary casket in engraved, gilded and enameled copper, with bright green and red enamels. The eyes are formed by black glass beads. Represented is a male figure, probably an apostle, wearing a mantle and a hood. With his right hand he is seizing his extended left hand. The two holes in the body were designed for rivets maintaining the figure in position onto the reliquary casket.
This "poupée" is rare because of its exceptional quality, its state of conservation with the original gilding intact, as rarely encountered.
