Miniature theatre mask in serpentine stone, Roman Circa 1st century A.D

A beautiful and very rare miniature carving in green serpentine stone depicting a classical theatre mask. Depicted is a male character with hair that is carved in a set of nine neat curls , thick eyebrows with deep eye sockets, a wrinkled forehead, bulbous cheeks and a wide open mouth.

Mounted on a custom made metal stand.
