Dish, Paterna, ca. 1350

A Hispano-Arabic dish from Paterna (Valencia), ca. 1350, with a depiction of a dragon (restaurations).

This piece comes from the collection of the famed collector Gaspar Homer - his inventory number can be seen on the top - most of whose collection is now kept in some of the world's most important museums, such as the Victoria & Albert Museum. This dish may be compared to another, kept in the V&A (inv. nº C.21-1931), which dates from a slightly later period.
