A rare overdoor or "supraporta" in carved oak with symbols of the "Memento Mori" : in the middle one notices a winged hourglass with columns. The left wing being that of a bat, the right wing that of an angel. The hourglass embodies the flight of time. The hourglass is surrounded by large rockeries and a scythe left and a flaming torch to the right. The scythe is the attribut of Time and the allegory of Death. The torch is a common emblem of both enlightenment and hope and symbolizes life.
