"Kurfürsten" jug in salt-glazed stoneware, Raeren dated 1603

A very rare , unusual small-sized "Kurfürsten" jug in brown salt-glazed stoneware, with a large central moulded fries depicting half-length images of the 7 "Kurfürsten" holding their coats of arms. They are placed under architectural arcades supported by colonnettes with capitals in the shape of winged cherubs. The body of the jug is stamped with stylized flowers of various sizes. Raeren. Dated (in the last crest) 1603. Dimensions: height 14,5cm In very good condition without repairs or restorations. A small, old chip to the edge and a (stable) stretch crack in the middle of the handle.
