Bracket clock Regence period

Exceptional bracket clock with marquetry “Boule”, tortoiseshell, brass and gilded bronze, epoch Regence. Magnificent ornaments of gilt with roosters and effigy showing the crowned Janus. Dial with gilded cartouches, in the centre a sculpture to celebrate a rooster. The dial is signed “Alexandre Lefaucheur”, who became Master in Paris in 1729 and was named clockmaker of the King in 1746.
