Japon, Satsuma, pair of wall plaques by Eizan Kawamoto, circa 1900.

Those Satsuma céramic plaques have been carved with high relief and then enameled.
They represent Sen-Nin and immortals with their attributes.
Probably made for the Internationnal exhibition of Paris in 1900, those plaques, even if they have no marks are very representative of the work of Eizan kawamoto.
Eizan Kawamoto presented a vase with a similar representation of figures in the International exhibition of Philadelphia in 1904. ( See picture).
Original framing and silk rope.
Japan, Eizan Kawamoto, Satsuma, Meiji Period circa 1900.
