Leaning on clouds, the Virgin holds the Child Jesus blessing, and in her right hand a missing object, perhaps the base of a bouquet of flowers. The Christ holds with the left hand what may be the branch of a missing cross.
The very skillful drapery sculpture that surrounds the figure of the Virgin, including the reverse, points to a very good hand not yet identified at the end of the 17th or the beginning of the 18th century, in France or Italy. Small lacks in the gilding, and small restorations.
