This kneeling angel, whose wings are missing but proved by the presence of notches, was certainly part of a pair, holding either candles, censers or supporting a shield. Despite its size, this statuette shows monumentality in its treatment.
Because of the wings, it can not be a kneeling Saint Louis, despite the resemblance of the face with the classical representations of the King.
Oak formerly polychrome.
Hands and missing wings. Worn out face features.
