The goddess Amphitrite, the wife of Neptune, is seated beside a bunch of reeds dominated by two large trees, carrying a cornucopia of red coral, on her right a young love comes to present her shell. To the left of a massif of trees, falls a cascade which forms a basin where numerous shells, fish, aquatic animals are present, which of their varied colors charm and enrich this composition. To the right of the picture are two young children, one of whom cautiously seizes an enormous crab, while the other holds a tortoise in his hands. In the reeds on the right a triton pours the water of a conch. In the sky a flying fish and a few birds.
