Pentant in gold and enamel featuring a cupid sitting next to a well holding a water jug. The enamel is framed with a ring of pearls as well as translucent, lavender-blue enamel that reveals the intricate design in the gold underneath. The composition is set in delicate, openwork mounting. The pendant ring repeats the same pearl and gold work motifs. The chain with Venetian links has been intricately reworked. The reverse side of the pendant features a locket with a glass door where a lock of hair or portrait can be set.
