Pair of Sèvres plates, 1788 and 1790

Both plates Sèvres porcelain, have a décor composed of a fuchsia garland swaying between two blue stripes accented with lavender gold.

This is the same decor as that of the service said "Montmorin Saint Hérem", former ambassador of France in Spain, he had delivered May 24, 1787, a service of 316 pieces with this same decor.

Dates letters painted the backs of these plates, indicate that their polychrome decorations date back to the first of 1788 (LL letters) and the second from 1790 (NN letters). The service delivered to Montmorin date of 1787 (KK letters).

Both plates are thus part
- Or reassortment of Montmorin service.
- Or other services decorated with the same decor and sold to other client at that time.
