This episode of the Bible is described in the Gospel of St. Luke 2: 41-52. At Easter, Jesus, twelve years old, accompanies Mary and Joseph, and a large group of people consisting of family and friends. The day of their departure, Jesus lingers in the Temple, Mary and Joseph thought he was in the caravan leaves town. So they returned to Jerusalem, and Jesus found three days later. This disappearance of Jesus in the temple is one of the seven sorrows suffered by the Virgin Mary.
