Sevres porcelain plates from Service called « des pêches » 1841 and 1842

Two Sevres porcelain plates from the Service said « des pêches ». The first pieces were produced in 1839 and the last in 1842. All the painting were performed by the marine painter : Louis Garneray, invited by Alexandre Brongniart, then director of the manufacture of sèvres …
The Sèvres Service "des pêches" was dispached in different locations : ministère de la Marine, comité des Courses d'Avranches and l'hippodrome de Dieppe. Three plates were sent to the museum of sevres that actually owns 4 plates, and the Louvre two : "La pêche au corail" et "La pêche des grenouilles".
Our two Sèvres plate bears the round Sèvres stamp with in blue the monogram of Louis-Philippe. Year mark 1841 for one and 1842 for the other.
Louis Garneray signed these two pieces in full letter in the decor…
