An important gilded and grey painted Louis XVI period console table attributed to Pierre Pillot
The rectangular shaped white marble top above a three-sided fluted frieze adorned with gilded laurels. The front frieze in centred by a neo-classical gilded covered vase. The four square tapering feet with a single gilded fluting on each face, are headed by gilded laurels.
The general shape of this side table, the carving and particularly the four square feet are iconic of the furniture produced in the city of Nîmes (South France) by the renowned PILLOT during the second part of XVIIIth century.
