The Co 'Ahazueros Jacobus Breman (1865 -1938) was a Dutch painter.
It is considered the greatest exponent of the Laren School. He worked mainly in the style of pointillism and Luminism.
He went to the Zwolle school of painting around 1889 and then went to Brussels, where he worked in decorations workshops. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. In 1893, he moved to Paris for a while, after which he moved to the Gooi in 1897. There, he was part of a group of artists who belong to the Laren school.
His stay in Het Gooi, Breman focuses more on the art of painting. He painted mostly landscapes, farms, interiors and colorful characters. Ferdinand Hart Nibbrig, he was one of the first painters of the Netherlands has practiced in the pointillist technique
