Rare tobacco rasp in motherpearl and silver XVIIIth century

Rare tobacco rasp in motherpearl and silver.
The body of the rasp is a woman sitting on a chair, the right foot in a basin in which a page pours water.

On tobacco reserve, outside, the decor of motherpearl represents two fishes and shrimp. Inside the reserve being vermeil.

On the back of the rasp, the presence of money in two geometric patterns and a flower in the center.

In excellent condition and with its original grater.

Dimensions: length of 18.1 cm x 6.3 cm width x height 1.9 cm

Circa 1740 France likely.

Note: this is the only motherpearl tobacco rasp known in public and private collections.
