Slipware tile with Saint Georges. Early 18th century.

A chimney tile in red clay with yellow slipware representation of Saint Georges slaying the dragon. This type of tile was often used for decorating the buildings of the archers guilds.

French-Flanders or "Westhoek" region.

Early 18th century.
