The Christ and Mary-Magdalene, attributed to César Bagard (1620-1709)

Attributed to the Lorraine master César Bagard (1620-1709), of Nancy, author of several similar groups in which the Christ is presented as in the Middle Ages, surrounded by the Virgin and St. John - sometimes supplemented or replaced by an angel and, in this case, by St. Mary Magdalene.

The group is presented in its original beautiful framing, also made in the workshops of the master.

The overall dimensions are 45 cm by 33 cm.

It should be noted that some fingers of the Christ missing and the loss of an element of the triptych, probably a St John that would be very close to the figure we offer, albeit in smaller format.
