Front feet spindles sheets of water falls, sabers on the back foot, cross carved with flowers and closed lotus flowers.

Formerly filled springs.

Empire period Parisien work towards 1805-1810.

This model has achieved great success under the Empire and was the subject of numerous orders for imperial residences at Fontainebleau, Compiègne, Malmaison, Tuileries, ... Seals.

The two main authors are Pierre-Benoit Marcion (1769-1840) and Pierre Antoine Bellangé (1757-1827).

We can also see a similar chair on the board of Paul Delaroche representing Napoleon at Fontainebleau after his first abdication March 31, 1814.
