Biography:
Hubert Hansen received master June 12, 1747 and died October 5, 1756
Despite a short career Hansen has produced very good quality furniture with fairly spectacular bronze ornamentation.
We know from the records that he works for merchants, haberdashers and Darnault Migeon and probably for Denis Genty.
Some exceptional furniture are known as convenient wigs from Castle Mentmore or a pair of corners sold in Paris in 1955 and from the Espirito Santo Collection.

Denis Genty received master March 13, 1754 is a cabinetmaker and merchant, he enjoys great reputation among wealthy clients including the awning of Houchin, the Countess's Hospital, the Marquis de Nesle, that of Chambonnas ...
In addition to its own production, it also sells the works of other great masters whose RVLC, Dautriche, Macret, Hedouin ....
Despite this, poor management leads to its bankruptcy, it filed for bankruptcy in 1762.

The original bronzes and furniture style allow us undoubtedly to give authorship to Hubert Hansen.
The presence of the "C" crowned in force between 1745 and 1749 and Hubert Hansen stamp received master in 1747 gives us a date of manufacture between 1747 and 1749.
As mercer Denis Genty probably sold to the secretary in his shop which forced him to affix his own stamp and the master cabinetmakers Jurande.
