Giltwood, mirror
Approximate size: 45.25 x 21.75 in.
A pair of large and elaborate European antique giltwood cornucopia mirrors, likely of the Elizabethan era. The symmetrically realized pendant mirrors feature an exquisite ornamentation inclusive of decorative garlands, festoons, rocailles and scallops.
The mirrors themselves are distressed with age and add to the overall textural appeal of this significant pair.
Condition commensurate with age with some minor losses to the gilding. There is a minor loss to the mirroring on the upper left corner of one mirror.
