Porcelain vases, Empire Period

These extraordinary, brightly gilded vases are adorned with bouquets of flowers, including lilacs, roses, volubilis and dahlias, as well as a few forget-me-nots. Beneath these bouquets, gilded friezes of various motifs, such as fleurons, stars, daisies, etc., run around the rim. Medici-shaped, they feature a handle on each side, with bearded men wearing pompons. They have retained their porcelain interior, which is extremely rare and allows flowers to be placed inside. Of respectable size, they stand on a pedestal with a square base. The gilding is in very good condition, but here and there, on protruding parts, there are a few small traces of wear. Made of Paris porcelain in the 1810's, they are of very high quality and could have been produced by the Sèvres factory, but the latter always marked its production, so they most certainly come from a large factory such as Dagoty or Darte, or Nast or Schoelcher.
Empire period.
Height 35 cm.
