27th LINE INFANTRY REGIMENT FUSILIERS OFFICER'S SHAKO PLATE, model 1812, First Empire.
Brass plate stamped in relief and gilded representing the crowned imperial eagle with outstretched wings, holding in its talons the spindle of Jupiter. It is placed on a smooth-bottomed shield cut out with the number "27" with a laurel branch and an oak branch in the lower part, bordered on its outer part with a vertically striated molding, molding framed with a net projecting from each coast ; in the two angles, a lion's head is represented.
H 14.4 cm, width 12 cm.
First Empire (1813-1814).
